Adventure
So here I am day 3 of the blog, and I just realized I never did the whole woohoo! I am making a blog! Come read it!! Woot Woot! letter, Well you don't need to suffer any longer Bloggers cause here it is!
Well howdy there Bloggers! This whole blogging thing is kind of serial. I know this sounds utterly corny, and weird, but since I have always been the nerd on the internet checking out Photographer's blogs and pictures, I have learned so much from their techniques and work. And here I am making my very own photography blog. *sigh*:) Its truly a dream come true.
I'm Mckenzie, an 18 year old college student, and I have taken on the role of blogging. A serious role, I am aware, but this is going to take awhile for me to get used to, not going to lie. Not that you care, but here is my little history of how I got into photography.
I received my first DSLR from my wondrous father Christmas 2009. It is a beautiful Canon Rebel. Now don't role your eyes and be all, okay amateur....NEXT! Just hear me out Blogger. Like probably every photographer has said, "Ever since I was young I had an eye for things" well hate to burst your bubble, but I'm not much different. I started out with a little Kodak Easyshare digital camera, and got a little crush on photography. I say crush, cause I didnt fully fall head over heals for it, until I took my first semester of college classes, here at the local college. I took a computer science class (gag me) and a Photography class (I feel the need to capitalize Photography, because it is so much better than computer science). Two totally opposite classes. And I obviously am not a computer person, so I definitely favored photography. Anyway, this is where I learned everything about about my glorious camera, whom I have named Oscar. (laugh if you must)
Oscar and I both found the love we had for the world around us. I catch the little everyday things that everyone seems to pass by, and I feel the need to capture it and show the world.
It has opened my eyes to view the simple everyday things that we all seem to pass by, and really appreciate them. I can say my attention to my surroundings has been greatly enhanced. Photography has allowed me to see the world through “different” eyes and I just love showing others the way I see our world and expressing myself through my photographs. Photography has led me to try the unexpected, to see things from different perspectives and to capture images for others to see. The more I learn the more I fall in love with the art which gives me drive and desire to excel.
That was one impressive speech there. Dang Mckenzie I didn't know you could write so well.
So here goes my adventure of blogging. Who is the victim, me, and Oscar. Who will watch us conquer, or fail? You my fellow Blogger. So off we go :)

Engagement
These were my first engagement photos I took. It was a fun experience working with a pair. Before this I had only worked with single people. But I learned a lot about positioning, lighting, and interaction through the photo.
| oh man, choosing just a few photos is really hard. |
Baby Bunnies :)
Pretty much the cutest thing I have ever seen! My dog was going nuts and found these baby bunnies nested in my neighbors front yard. I was able to steal a few shots of them before people started to freak out that we touched them. We went back a few weeks later and they were all fat and fluffy! AH!!! So adorable!
T-Bake Senior Pictures
Taylor Baker. LOVE THIS KID. These pictures were taken last summer.
He is now graduated and on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Peru.

I have to say...I really love this picture. The sun just creepin in, makes this photo just so gorgeous, along with the colors and his super happy face. Gotta love it!
Location: Old Plano....This seems to be where all my pictures are taken, any ideas??

Bringhurst Family
BRINGHURST FAMILY! It had been ages since I had done a family shoot and these guys were awesome. We had scheduling issues so we had to go out when the sun was not in its prime. So I had to deal with un flattering shadows and harsh light. :( Luckily no one died because it only happened to be 19028497498 degrees outside, but this awesome fam kept it together and I was able to get some stinken cute pictures of all of them.
NOTE TO SELF: summer is definitely not a good time to take pictures...unless you want someone dead by the end.

Adorable Girls :)
I had the fun opportunity today to take some pictures of good friends of mine. They were such good sports seeing as we were taking the pictures in 110 degree weather....KILL ME! But luckily their adorable faces looked fabulous as always. :)
